Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked basmati rice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Jyoti Foods Cumin Whole/Jeera
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
- Β½ green capsicum (optional), chopped
- Β½ cup chopped green peas (fresh/frozen)
- 1 medium boiled potato, cubed
- Β½ tsp Jyoti Foods Red Chilli/Lal Mirch Powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large tawaΒ over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and green capsicum (if using). Cook until the tomatoes soften.
- Add green peas and cook for another minute.
- Add cooked basmati rice and stir gently to combine.
- Add red chili powder and salt. Mix well.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is heated through and slightly crispy at the edges.
- Gently fold in the cubed potatoes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with raita or your favorite chutney.
Tips:
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or green beans to the pulao.
- For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of vegetable oil.
